Description
New Orleans fire-at-will TRAMPOLINE TEAM bounce back withKill You, a four-song crash test with death (yours specifically!) as the central thematic concern. Kill You On A Streetcar very nearly approaches hardcore, with the slicing central riff retracting juuuuuust enough to allow for another rapid-stab hook. These moments of punky gallantry appear throughout the EP, each showcasing TTs expert knack for legit lost-art garage punk, turn o the century style — steeped in smirk, obscured by hiss, down to kill. Those already clued-in enough to be on board have new cause to careen, butKill Yououghta prove most deadly for the as-yet uninitiated. Does Lucky Dog even accept Kroner? For your sake, we hope so. In obvious parlance: KILLER.
Our take: Latest 7 from this prolific New Orleans band. If you havent heard Trampoline Team yet, they play lightning-fast punk thats seems a little too catchy and Ramones-informed to qualify as pure hardcore, but with a velocity that would put all but a handful of hardcore bands to shame. Stripped-down, catchy punk songs delivered at seizure-inducing tempos whats not to love, right? You get four tracks here and theyre all burners. There are only a handful of lyrics to each song, so itll be easy to shout along with them the next time this hard-touring band hits your town. And make it a point to see them, because their shows are exactly the adrenaline rush youd hope they would be.
