Released the same day as Nirvanas Nevermind, Soundgardens third LP, Badmotorfinger, was initially overshadowed, but in time, its become revered as one of their best. The Seattle bands self-described thinking mans metal was perfectly honed here, and Chris Cornells timeless wails on a song like Jesus Christ Pose continue to sound haunting to this day. Its a grunge record for the metalheads and a metal record for the college-rock listeners, and it deserves a spot in your vinyl collection.
