The turn of the millennium marked a boom time for Swedish extreme-metal. Like their peers in Opeth, In Flames and Meshuggah, Soilwork truly embraced their full powers on their first record of the 21st century, 2001s A Predators Portrait. With more production value than their last, and an added dose of occasional cleans, the songs on this record arehookier, shreddier and all-around more musically interesting than what theyd done before. You cant listen to Like the Average Stalker and not headbang like a gleeful idiot.
