The post-hardcore icons have defied every expectation and odd stacked against them along the way, from shifting musical trends, addiction struggles, dire health issues and more. Perhaps most impressive, Thursday found their way back from what looked like a tragically premature end by surprise-dropping their first new song in 13 years.
