Description
The Atlanta prog-metal titans have long channeled pain and tragedy into their music. But times have never been this grim as the passing of their late, great manager Nick John in 2018 dominated the minds and souls of the Mastodon members. However, it turned into a cathartic experience. Its gone way beyond any therapy I could ever seek elsewhere, bassist Troy Sanders says. Ive spent half of my life in this band and Ive seen more, experienced more with these three guys than Ive done with anyone else on earth. I feel comfortable honing in and putting pen to paper when I feel something the most heartfelt. Go inside their new double album, Hushed and Grim.
