Before he joined Faith No More, Mike Patton was the fresh-faced frontman of Eureka, Californias Mr. Bungle, a high school band formed in 1985 after its member were kicked out of other groups. Six year later, Bungle catapulted into notoriety off Pattons FNM fame with this head-spinning debut LP, which recklessly fused metal, ska, carnival music, free jazz and more. Avenged Sevenfolds Synyster Gates, Korns James Munky Shaffer, Dream Theaters Mike Portnoy and others have since cited it as an all-time fave. Revolver Staff
