Description
Originally issued on Roc-A-Fella/Def Jam in 1999, Vol. 3: Life and Times of S. Carter is omnipresent 19-time Grammy award winning rapper/producer/entrepreneur Jay-Z’s fourth studio effort and follow-up to his 5-times platinum classic, Vol. 2: Hard Knock Life. The second of nine straight chart-topping albums, Life and Times found the hip hop impresario returning to the street-heavy sounds of his earlier albums albeit with the same multi-platinum results. With producers like DJ Premier, Swizz Beatz, Timbaland and Rockwilder in tow, Jay-Z turned out one of his most balanced and entertaining collections yet anchored by such singles as “Jigga My Nigga,” “Girl’s Best Friend,” “Do It Again (Put Ya Hands Up),” “Things That U Do” and “Big Pimpin’.”
