Description
There are only ruins left. Deserted streets, muted voices, screams swallowed by the concrete. A civilization in a loop, back to chaos. Each generation is a page torn from a book that we are not allowed to write.
But under the weight of a collapsing sky, (Black Hole), Hekts second album, resonates. Like a reverse countdown, a scream that refuses silence. Only fragments of a world on its knees remain. How did we get here?
Each word on Hekts new album sounds like a verdict. (Black Hole) is an autopsy of the present, an incantation against oblivion.
We live in a black hole that sucks everything in: memory, revolt, humanity. In this nothingness, there are voices that we try to stifle, certainly, but they are alive.
And if the world collapses, they will sing on its ashes: Come to Greece we sell it all! Cops! Macho men! Racism! Greek salad!
Five years after their first album, released by La Vida es un Mus, what a pleasure to welcome a new, even more punk and furious album from Hekt.
