Description
On Heavy Disciplines first recording Pittsburgh continues to deliver weapons grade HC/punk in 2019. Folks from Hounds of Hate, Blood Pressure, Curmudgeon, and more jackhammer your ears with 5 tracks of 83-flavored slam and stomp power.
Our take: Demo-on-vinyl from this Pittsburgh group featuring a bunch of familiar faces. You might thinkHeavy Discipline was from Boston, though, as they sound like an all-star jam session with Negative FX, SS Decontrol, and DYS. They have SSDs crushing sound down pat, the catchy Choke-style vocals nailed, and DYSs earworm riffs locked down. While some tracks hew pretty closely to their source material, I dont see any reason Heavy Discipline shouldnt wear their influences on their sleeve. Great songs, explosive performances, and a gritty recording from the Braddock Hit Factory.
