Description

The Now Now,Gorillaz’ssixth studio effort, features 11 all-new songs from the World’s Most Successful Virtual Act, co-produced withJames FordandRemi Kabaka, and recorded entirely at Studio 13, London in February of 2018. In contrast to the cast of characters that joined the apocalyptic party thrown byDamon Albarnand his cartoon crew on 2017’s multiple-Grammy-nominatedHumanz,The Now Nowsees the band largely eschewing guest stars (saveGeorge Benson,Snoop DoggandJamie Principle), taking it back to the coreGorillazcrew: blue-haired, sweet-natured dreamer2Don vocals; whip-smart Japanese badassNoodleon guitar; Brooklyn-born philosopher and the meat behind-the-beatRussel Hobbson drums. And withMurdoc Niccalstemporarily indisposed, bass duties on the new album have been taken up by erstwhile Gangreen Gang memberAce. Vibrant lead single “Humility” features legendary jazz guitaristGeorge Benson. Heavyweight black vinyl 12″ LP in spined sleeve with printed inner bag and download card.
