Description
Emerging from the depths of Merrimac, Massachusetts, GOOLAGOON’s Patrickviolence is a blistering, SPONGEBOB-themed powerviolence/hardcore punk demo that’s finally getting the wax treatment it deserves. Originally released in 2015 as a limited cassette, this 7″ pressing captures the chaotic energy and absurdist charm that made the band a cult favorite in the DIY scene.
With tracks like “F.U.N.,” “Walking Small,” and “Goo Lagoon,” GOOLAGOON blends ferocious grindcore tempos with tongue-in-cheek references to Bikini Bottom, all delivered with raw, unfiltered aggression. Think JERRY’S KIDS meets Saturday morning cartoons – fast, loud, and weirdly nostalgic.
Recorded by Nat Peirce at Cats’N’Jammers and featuring LILY on vocals, JAKE on guitar, SPENCER on drums, and DIRTY DAN on bass, this release is a must-have for fans of novelty punk, powerviolence, and anyone who ever wondered what SPONGEBOB would sound like in a mosh pit.
