IN THE ISSUE:
It took ZZ TOPs guitarist Billy Gibbons and drummer Frank Beard a few years to absorb the loss of bassist Dusty Hill. But band tech Elwood Francis came to the rescue by filling Dustys giant shoes and it now seems that the band is set to never let up on the gas. Read an interview with ZZ Top leader Gibbons about the new groove.
“Dusty [Hill] had said, Listen, although Im feeling out of sorts, if Im gonna be a little late getting back to the bandstand, hand my guitar to Elwood [Francis]. He knows what to do.” ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons
