Description
Its a goer. Snarling speed fed hardcore from Zagreb, Croatia tapped into Gang Greens early raw energy on and off recording (sniff sniff). An exercise in timeless pure punk to smash and to sneer and to hate and to die to. Cherish alongside your School Jerks and Culo eps. LR certified gasm.
Our take: Debut vinyl from this Croatian band. We carried a few of their tape releases a while back and I think theyve found a fitting home on the same label as Nosferatu, Closet Christ, and Q. Like those bands, Eke Buba play fast, wild, and chaotic hardcore that reminds me ofKoro, Deep Wound, and the Neos. The three tracks on the a-side will leave you breathless, the sound teetering toward Sieges heaviness, but with wilder-sounding vocals a la Void. The two songs on the b-side back off the tempo just a hair and inject garage-punk flavor into the riffing, like youre playing a Carbonas 45 at 78rpm. Its over in what feels like about 30 seconds, but its a constant thrill ride.
