Belgian-Caribbean provocateur Charlotte Adigry and her longterm musical partner Bolis Pupul announce their debut album, Topical Dancer. Cultural appropriation. Misogyny and racism. Social media vanity. Not talking points that you’d ordinarily hear on the dancefloor, but the Ghent-based duo are rare storytellers. Co-written and co-produced by Soulwax, Topical Dancer is both a triumph of kaleidoscopic electro-pop and a snapshot of how we think about pop culture in the 2020s. 2LP on black 140g vinyl.
