Description
2018 marks the 50th anniversary of Buddy Guys influential second album, A Man and the Blues. Guys legendary electric guitar licks and passionate vocals are on display in this recording, with a tight backing band that includes the great Otis Spann on piano and a snappy sax trio. Featuring a handful of original tracks, a surprising and highly original rendition of Mary Had a Little Lamb, plus classics like Money (Thats What I Want), this album bridges Chicago blues with R&B. Remastered from the original analog tapes by Capitol Masterings Ron McMaster, this special anniversary edition of the album is pressed on 180-gram vinyl and housed in an old-school-style, tip-on jacket.
