Description
AL GREEN has often been called the last great soul man, and when you hear the first few bars of Lets Stay Together (his first number one hit), you know that its true. But while on par in talent with soul legends like James Brown and Otis Redding, Green stands alone as a pioneer in soul music, single-handedly reviving the genre in the early seventies with a mind-boggling vocal style that had never been heard before or, while many have tried to follow in his footsteps, since.
