Description
One of the NWOBHMs most sought after releases returns 39 years after its debut. The first of only a handful of releases from the band, featuring two of their best songs The Fox and Death Sentence. Originally released on Miranmar Records and now officially licensed from the band. Includes professionally printed glue-pocket cover with the original artwork that was used in promotion of its release. Strictly limited to 500 copies, all on black vinyl. 100% NWOBHM!
Our take: Reissue of this 1980 NWOBHM gem, spicing up the sleeveless original with a period-appropriate picture sleeve andand a big ol poster insert. If youre someonewho has built your collection of New Wave of British Heavy Metal reissues by picking them up from hardcore punk distros like Sorry State, this single is tailor made for you. Crucifixion have that classic NWOBHM sound that everyone loves, but theyre one of the punkiest sounding bands from that scene Ive heard. Like youd expect, both The Fox and its b-side Death Sentence featureclassic riffs and anthemic choruses, but the raw production and gritty, growly vocal delivery are perfect for me. Diamond Head or Def Leppard this aint, but if youre also picking up the new Inepsy LP, throw this into your cart for an appropriate chaser.
