Description
Originally released in 1996, The Clean’s Unknown Country makes its debut appearance on vinyl in the US in March 2021! The curious history of New Zealand’s legendary Clean is an indie rock trip in itself, in which you can discover the roots of New Zealand’s own peculiar brand of fuzzy pop. With 18 short, sharp bursts of good Clean pop, the seminal Unknown Country is yet another reason why Cleanliness is indeed next to Godliness. Of the album, David Kilgour writes, “The Clean always wanna try something different, but on this LP, we were obsessed with the idea.” Bandmate Robert Scott agrees, saying, “I really enjoyed recording this as it was free of expectation. Certainly our most experimental album.” Full-color printed dustsleeve.
