Description
MORBIKON, is the creative effort of guitarist/bassist Phil Land Phil Hall of Municipal Waste (Cannabis Corpse, Iron Reagan). The project is guided by the second wave of Scandinavias black metal and melodic death metal scenes of the 90s.
Phil writes the music and plays bass/guitar in the studio (and bass live) alongside a power house of sick underground metal musicians including Mathias Vreth Lillmns (Finntroll, And Oceans) on vocals.
This album feels like some of my darkest material yet. I filled these songs to the brim with atmosphere and riffs. There are moments during the album that truly feel soaked in classic 90s underground blasphemy. – Phil Hall
Not just a studio project, Morbikon spent 6 weeks on the road promoting their debut album Ov Mournful Twilight (2022) along side internationally notable extreme metal acts Exhumed and Skeletal Remains. Morbikon also crushed performances at The Decibel Magazine Beer and Metal Fest (in both Philadelphia and Denver) and the Milwaukee Metal Fest.
