Description
Its impossible to understate the importance of Killswitch Engages 2000 debut. Their first of two self-titled albums didnt just proclaim who they were as fearsome upstarts it helped define the sound of metalcore in the decade to come. Jesse Leachs soaring cleans lifted crushing, breakdown-heavy metalcore out of the small club scene and into the ears of a broader metal audience, providing a pathway for hundreds if not thousands of younger bands to follow them through.
